Math POW - due Friday, May 3rd


1.  A class ordered four 12-slice pizzas for lunch.  The students ate 40 slices. 
a) Write an improper fraction and a mixed number for the number of pizzas the students ate.
b) Write a fraction in simplest form for how many pizzas were left over.

2. What fraction of Canada's ten provinces begin with a vowel?  What fraction begin with a consonant?

3.  Use this list of numbers.

3/4     2 & 3/5    23/20    2.35    1.3    0.9

a) Write each decimal as a fraction
b) Order the original numbers from least to greatest

    1/10 where left over.

    out of the 10 provences 3 start with vowels 2.35= 2 35/100 1.3 = 1 3/10 0.9= 0 and/10 0.9 1.3 23/20 2.35 and the greatest is 2 and 3/5
