Open the above link and explore various activities with triangles.  Take the quiz and show me your results.  Are the 6 triangles below the only triangles there are? (Post your responses.)

  1. Yes, I do believe that there are only 6 different types of triangles. I only knew of these 6 types and some web sites I was looking at indicated so, too.

  2. Yes, these are the only types of Triangles. I already was relatively sure that there were only 6 types, but I quickly checked on a few math websites, and I was correct! :D

  3. I think there are only 6 types of triangles because I only know about these types of triangles. I think that you could make more, but you would have to mix the names together because they have the same characteristics as these ones.

  4. Just a question, do we (or I) have to show my results to Mrs. O'Hara on the computer, or do I just post it?

  7. Oh, yes, but some triangles can be a mix of a few types of triangles.

Says Mackenzie who is now expanding on: "Btw, there are only 6 types of triangles".
